STRAWBERRY PIE

Ingredients:

  • 6 Cups mashed Glascock’s Produce strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 3 Cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2/3 cup strawberry juice (strained from mashed, boiled strawberries)
  • 2 prepared pie shells or graham cracker crust

Instructions:

Bring strawberries and sugar to a boil, keep to a  slow boil

Strain 2/3 cup juice from strawberries

Add cornstarch to strawberry juice; stir until dissolved

Add cornstarch mixture to strawberries

Stir and remove from heat

Pour directly into prepared pie shells or graham cracker crust

Let cool completely and refrigerate

Serve chilled and garnish with cool whip if desired
