STRAWBERRY PIE

Ingredients: 

  • 6 Cups mashed Glascock’s Produce strawberries (fresh or frozen)
  • 3 Cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2/3 cup strawberry juice (strained from mashed,boiled strawberries)
  • 2 prepared pie shells or graham cracker crust

 

Directions:

  • Bring strawberries and sugar to a boil, keep to a  slow boil 
  • Strain 2/3 cup juice from strawberries
  • Add cornstarch to strawberry juice; stir until dissolved 
  • Add cornstarch mixture to strawberries
  • Stir and remove from heat
  • Pour directly into prepared pie shells or graham cracker crust 
  • Let cool completely and refrigerate 
  • Serve chilled and garnish with cool whip if desired
