LAURA’S HOMEMADE HONEYCRISP APPLE DUMPLING

Ingredients:  Dumpling dough

  • ½ cup cold water
  • 1 cup Crisco
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3 cups flour

Ingredients:  One Stuffed Apple (Dessert for Two)

  • 1 Large Glascock’s Produce Honeycrisp Apple
  • 4-6 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Craisins
  • Walnuts
  • Cinnamon
  • Fistful of Brown Sugar

Instructions:

Roll out dough in fourths.

Core apple, place in middle of one dough.

Stuff apple with brown sugar, craisins, walnuts and more brown sugar.

Sprinkle with cinnamon.

Wrap apple in dough.

Paint dough with melted butter, sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes (convection oven)

Top with vanilla ice cream and share with someone special!
