SEASONAL FRUIT CRISP

Ingredients:

  • 5+ cups of any of Glascock’s Produce’s Fruit ( Apples, Blueberries, Strawberries, Peaches, Etc.)
  • 6+ tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (you can also add nutmeg and ginger)
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts or coconut
  • Vanilla ice cream or light cream (optional)

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 375  degrees F

For filling: thaw fruit, if frozen, do not drain. Place fruit in baking dish and stir in granulated sugar. Let sit while you make the topping.

For topping: in a large mixing bowl- combine oats, flour, brown sugar and spices. Cut in cold butter or margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in nuts or coconut. Sprinkle topping over filling. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until fruit is tender and topping is golden brown. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or light cream, if desired.
